If you cannot setup an odbc connection to SQL server in windows 2000 you may want to try to install MDAC_TYP from Microsoft (Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 2.8 SP1) from Microsoft website. If it still does not work, try using tcp/ip by clicking on "client configuration" in the odbc connection wizard.
