@happy : I don't think there is a way of bypassing that. You mentioned asp.net, are you using this in a server? Microsoft and most people don't recommend using Office Automation (which COM late binding is) for web or other server side applications. Automation is intended for only desktop apps.

I have a set of scripts that also remove old backups, only I wrote them in Batch because ruby is not always available on all of the machines where I'm running Cobian backup.
the script runs in two parts,
the first part collects a list of what is currently there and renames the list of files that was made an x number of backups ago for deletion.

I think you have to use the Add of the Recipients property in the MailItem object. You can google those and just use the same convention I used in the post to call late binding objects. Another option you can try is the dynamic keyword in c#4.0 with it you can do late binding but without all the reflection cluttering. You can google the dynamic keyword in c# to learn how it works. Just change the strEBCDICString parameter to be byte[]. Then change the lines of the method to use the array instead of a string. E.g.: instead of Convert.ToChar(strEBCDICString.Substring(i, 1)) you should be able to do something like this: (char)strEBCDICString[i].

That's excellent.
I have been having issues creating html and css template with avery, with issues of printing from firefox.

I have used iReports before. Took me about 15 minutes to modify to suite my database, then printed 800 labels, perfect fit with Avery 5960.

Also, if you need the schema this came from, its pretty easy to reverse engineer the query, and the tables pop out. If you don't understand the query, then you probably won't understand the schema.

MMF2 is definitely easier for ages 9-13. If the person you are buying it for has no programming experience, then you should go for MMF2. On the other hand, if he/she already took a class on programming, then you should go for GM.

Thanks! I couldn't for the life of me figure out why rake wasn't working through the system call in Windows, it never occurred to me to add the .bat extension to rake.

Another bit of strangeness with this. If you leave out the extension but redirect the output to a file, like system("rake --tasks > tmp.log"), it works.
